Ever dreamt of becoming a teen model?

If becoming a model is something you dream about on a daily basis, we could help those dreams become your reality.

Do you have what it takes?

Becoming a model is a popular dream for many teenagers, but do you have what it takes to become a professional model?

Are you the right age?

If you are aged between 12 and 17, then you are the right age to become a teenage model. Any younger and you would be classed as a child model. If you’re older, then you fall into the category for adult modelling.

Do you have your parents’ permission?

If you’re wanting to become a model in your teenage years, it is crucial that you have permission from your parents before you start approaching modelling agencies or companies such as ourselves.

Although many teenagers don’t like the idea of their parents accompanying them, it is something that The Model’s Kit strongly advises. Not only can parents provide transport and security, but also advice and comfort during a shoot.

Most brands and agencies require that any model under the age of 18 attends shoots and meetings with an adult chaperone.

What would you do as a teen model?

Your modelling career

As a teen model, it would be your job to help advertise commercial products and services to the general public.

From advertisements on the internet, through to advertising features in newspapers and magazines, a teen model could quite literally find themselves in any kind of media.

Most often, a teen model will find themselves in advertisements aimed at other teenagers, which means that a person could find themselves modelling some of their favourite brands.

Another advantage is the fact that a teenager will always model on a part-time basis, which means that they can get a taste of what it is like to be a model before deciding on whether to pursue modelling as a full-time career.

Education is still important

Agencies and brands know how important education is, which is why they will put the education of a model before anything else.

Although modelling does give teenagers experience in professional environments, which can help build professionalism and confidence, teenage modelling will always be on a part-time basis.

If your son or daughter is interested in pursuing a career as a model, no agency or brand should require them on a full-time basis and most are more than happy to work around school days and term times.

Modelling is more than just looks

It is easy to assume that modelling is just about looks, but the truth is that personality has such an important role in whether someone will succeed in the world of modelling.

We often say that looks, confidence, professionalism, and determination are the keystones to any successful career in modelling, including teenage modelling.

A model needs to be able to take direction and offer versatility in front of the camera, and do so in a room full of people that they do not know.

Finally, to be a successful teen model, you need to love what you do and be able to overcome setbacks and the occasional rejection.

We’ve helped countless teenagers pursue a part-time career in modelling, so we know what it takes to find success as a teen model. If you think you have what it takes, contact us today.
